I am looking forward to attending and presenting at the Chicago Seminar this weekend. I’ll be speaking on Saturday afternoon about the ins and outs of the American Express Membership Rewards program (who the best transfer partners are for certain awards and some hidden gems you might not know about). I’ll also give some tips on the Chase Ultimate Rewards program because that is shaping up to be a formidable competitor to Amex and it’s a relatively new program.

I’m also one of the sponsors of the event, so I have a brief segment on Sunday as well which I will primarily use to give out prizes on behalf of my new site, Expect some good prizes, including $1,000 in credit :-), Bose QC15 headphones, some Amex and Chase points as well as assorted door prizes from my exploits in the points world – including a Verizon headset from the AA shopping debacle and assorted Grand Slam crap items. I thought about giving away my Pitney Bowes mailing machine, but didn’t want to have to burden anyone with checking a bag on their way home :-).

If you are attending, make sure to stop by the TPG/TCC booth to get a raffle ticket and learn about the other ways you can earn them throughout the weekend.

Update: due to venue capacity I have to close off the RSVPs. We will be in touch within the next 2 days to confirm your attendance and give you event details. Can’t wait!

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m hosting a small gathering of TPG readers. It’s registration only and the only way to register is to comment on this post (and make sure you use your correct email address when you register- do not include it in the actual text of your comment– so we can send you the details). If you already commented on my last post, no need to do it again. This session will not interfere with any other session and it will take place at the host hotel. There will be 3 others representing (including self anointed TPG Gal Friday, Danielle who is doing a great job covering the Pan Am series reviews).

Overall, I’m really excited though I have to say I hate costumes, so don’t expect a lot out of me at the costume party Saturday night!

For those of you who can’t attend, I will make my material available next week in the form of blog posts and I’ll see if I can even get some video content. Can’t wait to see you all this weekend and if you can’t make it, I’ll do my best to live-tweet from the event, so make sure you are following me!
