Thanks to a thread on Flyertalk, we’ve found some good transatlantic business class deals on Skyteam partners with prices between $1700 and $2100, which are more common prices for coach seats (and in some cases lower than coach fares on the same routes!). These deals are pricing out on the ITA Matrix for itineraries of 7-10 days for dates from late June through early September, including 4th of July weekend in some cases and also including Labor Day weekend.
In what appears to be a fare war between Skyteam and United, these deals are cropping up at United hubs like:
- Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
- Denver (DEN)
- Los Angeles (LAX)
- Newark (EWR)
- San Francisco (SFO)
- Washington Dulles (IAD)
The deals cover several European destinations, including a few Skyteam hubs but mostly Star Alliance hubs including:
- Brussels (BRU)
- Copenhagen (CPH)
- Frankfurt (FRA)
- Geneva (GVA)
- Munich (MUC)
- Prague (PRG)
- Berlin (TXL)
- Vienna (VIE)
- Warsaw (WAW)
- Zurich (ZRH)
Additional US airports showing up with these deals include Palm Springs (PSP) and Seattle (SEA). Some routes require stops in Amsterdam (AMS) or Paris (CDG) on Delta’s partners, Air France and KLM.
These screenshots show SFO-CPH in July for $1,659 on Air France/KLM in Z class:
This is the SFO-CPH booking as it appears on ITA Matrix;
This is the same itinerary on Air France/KLM priced out on Delta.com:
We also found ORD-BRU in July for $1,919 on KLM and Delta. This is the booking on KLM priced out by ITA.
And here it’s bookable on Delta.com – for under $350 more than economy.
Another good deal we found is DEN-PRG in Z class in August for between $1,942.57 and $1,949.50 on KLM and/or Delta:
This is the DEN-PRG booking on KLM found on Delta.com.
This is the EWR-MUC deal on Delta.com:
To find especially good deals, I’d suggest looking from Star Alliance hubs rather than SkyTeam hubs, and then verify that the deals can be booked on Delta.com to earn MQM’s and MQD’s.
Anyone out there finding similar deals, or ones that are even better? Please leave a comment below – and bon voyage!
