Reminder: Just a Few More Days To Qualify For Elite Status
You have until December 31, 2014 to qualify for airline or hotel elite status for 2015. If you find yourself short, you still have a couple of days for a quick mileage run, or you can purchase elite qualifying miles from Delta or American. Virgin America Elevate Members Get 500 Bonus Points
To wish Elevate members a happy holiday season, Virgin America is giving away 500 bonus points to each Elevate member. In order to obtain the bonus, you must be enrolled with an active account in the Elevate frequent flyer program and claim your bonus by correctly entering your Elevate number online by December 31, 2014. Only one bonus points award will be credited per Elevate member account, and you’ll receive your bonus points up to three weeks after submitting your claim. Keep in mind that bonus points do not count toward Elevate elite status.
Marriott Rewards Launches MegaMiles Bonus
For those who prefer earning airline miles instead of Marriott Rewards Points for Marriott stays, you can take advantage of the new MegaMiles promotion, where you get 2,500 bonus airline miles per stay starting with your second stay. Stays must take place between February 1–April 30, 2015, and you must register for the promotion by March 31, 2015. You can earn a maximum bonus of 50,000 miles with this promotion (after 21 stays). Keep in mind that a “stay” is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity. Delta “Pay With Miles” Tickets Will Soon Be Eligible For Mileage Accrual
If you own a co-branded Delta card, you can purchase “Pay with Miles” tickets, which let you use miles as cash to pay for part of your ticket. In the past, these tickets were ineligible to earn miles, but starting January 1, 2015, you’ll be able to accrue SkyMiles on Pay with Miles tickets. The terms and conditions state:
“For travel on or after January 1, 2015 (regardless of ticket purchase date): Pay with Miles tickets are eligible for MQMs and MQSs. In addition, Pay with Miles tickets will earn mileage and MQDs for the portion of the base fare and carrier-imposed surcharges remaining that is paid in currency after miles are applied to the ticket total.”
Earn Triple Point For Choice Hotels Mid-Week Stays
Choice Privileges is offering triple points for Sunday to Thursday stays from December 29, 2014 to February 18, 2015. You must first register for the promotion. Once registered, you can book your stay on ChoiceHotels.com, the Choice Hotels App, or by calling 1-800.4CHOICE. You can earn a maximum of 30,000 points with this promotion.
Club Carlson Members Earn 9,000 Bonus Points and 25% Discount On Avis Rentals
Club Carlson members can earn 9,000 total Club Carlson Gold Points from Avis on rentals of three days or more at participating Avis airport locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. You must use the coupon number MUHA021 and provide your Club Carlson number at the time of reservation or at the rental counter to earn your bonus points. You can get the 25% off when you enter the AWD number G639300. The promotion is valid until December 31, 2015 and blackout dates may apply.
