Text Requests to Hotel Staff through Marriott’s Mobile App

Marriott has added Mobile Requests to its apps for Android and iOS devices, letting Marriott Rewards members specify amenities and services ahead of and during their stay.
In the same vein as SPG Keyless, which lets Starwood guests open their room with their phone or Apple Watch, this feature is meant to save guests time, and it’s available up to 72 hours before they check in. Tapping the Mobile Request tab within the Marriott app takes you to a list of common guest preferences — such as extra pillows or a high floor — and clicking on the ones you’d like sends a notification to the hotel. If you don’t see the amenity you’re looking for, you can use the two-way chat feature to chat with an associate.
Currently available at 46 properties, from the New York Marriott Marquis to the Marriott in Zurich, Mobile Requests will reportedly be live at all of the chain’s properties by July.
