Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel.
Following yesterday’s Southwest Airlines sale, it looks like JetBlue, United and Virgin America have jumped on the low-fare bandwagon with cheap flights between Los Angeles or San Diego and San Francisco, with round-trips priced at $97. The best deal, however, is from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Las Vegas; you can fly AA, United or Virgin America to Sin City for $76 round-trip from October through the end of the schedule in April.
Here are a few examples of what we found:
Los Angeles (LAX)-Las Vegas (LAS) for $76 on AA (earns 472 EQMs):
Las Vegas (LAS)-San Francisco (SFO) for $76 on Virgin America:
