Exciting New Airline Routes for Summer and Beyond

From here on, the TPG team will periodically share news of exciting new airline routes, including ones that have just launched, will soon launch, or are slated to launch in the future. Read on to see several new routes to look out for this month through the middle of next year.
NEW ROUTES LAUNCHED IN JUNE 2015
Toronto (YYZ) – Amsterdam (AMS) on Air Canada
(launched June 4, 2015)
Details — This new Air Canada route will operate on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with room for 211 passengers, featuring 24 International Business Class pods with fully lie-flat seats. The route will operate up to three times per week throughout the year.
Houston (IAH) – Tokyo Narita (NRT) on ANA
(launched June 12, 2015)
Details — This route operated by ANA (a Star Alliance partner) will fly round-trip between Houston and Tokyo daily on a Boeing 777-300ER, which seats 250 passengers (with eight first class, 52 business class, 24 premium economy and 166 economy seats).

Houston (IAH) – Taipei (TPE) on EVA Air aboard the Hello Kitty Jet
(launched June 19, 2015)
Details — EVA Air just started flying this new route with three flights a week, and will add another weekly flight beginning on July 1, 2015. This route is served by a special Boeing 777-300ER, which was delivered in May 2015 and (to the delight of many) is covered with Hello Kitty and Sanrio drawings. The 333-seat, Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft features 39 seats in Royal Laurel Class business, 56 in Elite premium economy and 238 in Economy.

COMING IN DECEMBER 2015
Los Angeles (LAX) – Sydney (SYD) on American Airlines
(launching December 17, 2015)
Details — American will start operating this route daily aboard its Boeing 777-300ER with eight first-class suites and 309 seats total. San Francisco (SFO) – Sydney (SYD) on Qantas
(launching December 20, 2015)
Details — Qantas hasn’t operated this route since 2011, but will resume service on peak days and move up to six flight weekly in January 2016, using a 747-400ER aircraft that features 58 fully lie-flat business class seats, 36 premium economy seats and 270 economy seats. Note that SYD-SFO service will not operate on December 23, 24, 25 and 31, 2015.
COMING IN 2016
Atlanta (ATL) – Istanbul (IST) on Turkish Airlines
(launching May 16, 2016)
Details — Turkish Airlines just launched service between Istanbul and San Francisco in April, and recently announced plans to launch service between Istanbul and Miami in October. This service to Atlanta will make for three nonstop US routes that Turkish will be launching within a year. The Altanta/Istanbul flights will operate daily with a Boeing 777-300ER in a two-cabin configuration.
