Flights to Europe just got cheaper for East Coast flyers. Budget airline WOW Air has deals from Baltimore (BWI) and Boston (BOS) to Amsterdam (AMS) and Paris (CDG) with one-way fares starting at $99. All of these flights funnel through WOW’s hub in Reykjavik — connection times start at 70 minutes and there’s no need to go through security.
While flights departing the US start at $99, the return flights are pricing higher, at $200. Note that the $99 outbound flights are only available on limited dates, so you’ll need to have some flexibility.

WOW already offers fares to Iceland from the US at this price point on a fairly regular basis, so it’s good to see more destinations being made available. For more on those options, check out our $99-Fare Guide to Iceland.
While there’s no doubt these budget fares are an inexpensive way to reach Europe, keep in mind that your journey won’t be as comfortable as it might be on other carriers, and there are a lot of add-on fees that can eat into your savings. Generally you’ll be fine if you know all the rules ahead of time, but at least consider whether the savings are worth the potential headache of (many) extra fees and basic accommodations.
If you book any of these fares, or if you’re able to find cheaper return flights on WOW, please let us know in the comments below!
