Frontier Airlines is back at it, with another round of almost-too-low-to-be-true fares that start at just $15 each way, with no round-trip purchase required.
To get in on these fares, use the promo code SAVEBIG and purchase your tickets by 11:59pm ET August 26, 2015. The sale is also limited to the first 100,000 users, so figure out your plans quickly!
Tickets are for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from September 1 to November 18, 2015. There are blackout dates on several routes, notably on September 8 (after the Labor Day weekend) and October 13 (Columbus Day weekend).
It looks like a lot of people are booking, so the system times out in some cases — but keep trying, because the calendar does eventually load. Many fares are up to about $20 at this point, but that’s still a roaring bargain.
Here are a few sample fares:
New York-LaGuardia (LGA) to Miami (MIA) for $20
Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to San Francisco (SFO) for $20
Washington-Dulles (IAD) to Orlando (MCO) for $20
Los Angeles (LAX) to Denver (DEN) for $20
Maximize Your Spending
While Frontier may not be a part of a major alliance and these cheap flights won’t help toward any major elite status, you can still earn extra credit card points by using a card that maximizes airfare purchases. You can earn 3x on airfare with the American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card or the Citi Premier Card, or 2x with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. For more suggestions, check out Richard Kerr’s post on maximizing airfare purchases.
