Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel. Additionally, keep in mind that discounted partner fares may not earn miles with US-based carriers.
Asiana is continuing its deals on Orbitz this week with more discounted flights bound for Asia. Earlier in December, the airline also sold discounted service to the Philippines and Vietnam from $500, but the latest deal is for flights headed to Bangkok.
As with the other deals, it appears that you must book through Orbitz to get the lowest rate. Discounted flights are available from a few cities, including Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK) and San Francisco (SFO) from $549 round-trip. In addition to these cities, there are also discounted fares from Chicago (ORD) and Seattle (SEA) on very select dates. As you book, be aware that many of these flights (especially those originating on the West Coast) may include a layover in Seoul that is 5 or 10 hours long.
