Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel. Additionally, keep in mind that discounted partner fares may not earn miles with US-based carriers.

Air New Zealand is known for offering comfortable in-flight products like its Sky Couch in economy and new lie-flat Business Premier seats. And right now, you can book flights on the airline for heavily discounted prices during its 72-hour Summer Sale. The best deal we’re seeing is from Los Angeles (LAX) to the Cook Islands (RAR), which Air New Zealand flies to once per week nonstop. There are also sales on other routes from LAX and San Francisco (SFO) to New Zealand and Australia — all classes of service have $300 discounts per person.
