Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel. Additionally, keep in mind that discounted partner fares may not earn miles with US-based carriers.
Several airlines are putting Amsterdam on sale right now. We’re seeing nonstop flights from both New York and Chicago (ORD) to Amsterdam (AMS) from just $412 round-trip on Delta, KLM and United. The sale is valid for departures from January through March 2017. It’s pretty rare for a fare sale to be active this far out only, so if you are able to make this deal work, now is a great time to buy. To search for your flights, use Momondo and then book through the OTA Citi Air Travel, which is showing prices almost $100 cheaper than the airlines’ sites.
