With historic landmarks, savory cuisine and a towering monument known around the world, Parisian vacationers truly do have it all. But if you’re planning on spending time in an often pricey, always impersonal hotel, you may be left wanting something more — we know we would. That’s why we’ve scoured Airbnb in search of our absolute favorite homes in the City of Light. Some of these spots have stunning views; others have amenities and designs we’ve seen nowhere else.
Value Deals (less than $150 per night)
Location is everything in a bustling city like Paris, and this two-bedroom flat has a placement beaten out only by its price. Starting at $81 a night, you’ll have easy access to the Metro and will be within walking distance of some of the city’s prominent attractions — including the Champs-Elysées and La Madeleine.
Get a feel for both old and new in this modernized two-bedroom apartment, a part of the storied Hausmannian-style buildings found throughout Paris. Situated in a secluded residential alcove, this apartment will make you feel right at home with book-lined walls and antique furnishings. Note that there’s a seven-night minimum stay requirement for this one, with prices that start at $143 per night.
Mid-Tier ($150-400 per night)
A self-described treasure chest, this stylish one-bedroom flat might just live up to its name with killer views of the canal below. These digs won’t leave you disappointed; the designer interior pairs well with simple furniture and clean white walls, and there’s even a swing — yes, a swing! — in the living room. Add in a certified Super Host status and the $179 per night asking price, and you’ve found yourself a near-unbeatable Parisian getaway.
Once a Parisian stable and now a luxurious studio loft, this renovated apartment in central Paris won’t be soon forgotten. The photographs capture a happy clash of many styles: At one moment, you might feel thrust into modernist playground, in the next, the space could be torn from the playbook of classic France. No matter the looks, you won’t regret booking this spot that is mere minutes from the heart of the city. Travelers should expect to pay $220 per night with a minimum stay of three nights.
Feel like a medieval Lord in this three-bedroom, four-bed apartment that sports a master bedroom encased in stone. Walk through the vaulted stone archways and take in this listing’s no-frills interior, complemented by clean walls that give off a less-is-more aura. You’ll enjoy planning day trips into nearby central Paris from the comfortable, skylit living room. Book it from $392 a night, with prices and minimum-night stay requirements varying by chosen dates.
High Roller ($400+ per night)
If you’re searching for an Airbnb that has the feeling of a full-service home and the excitement of something entirely new, look no further than this four-bedroom luxury loft. Tucked into a top floor at the edge of the Marais historic district, this listing offers stunning views of the city. It’s the perfect launchpad for families or travelers who want to make themes of their home away from home while still enjoying everything that Paris has to offer. Book a four-night minimum stay here from $643 a night.
This Parisian getaway takes the classic “waterfront property” one step further by putting you and 11 of your friends right on the water. You’ll have a tight fit within the retrofitted barge, but you won’t soon forget the experience of sleeping on the Seine. Thankfully, your wallet will. At only $441 a night for groups up to seven — plus, $35 per head after that — this barge-house is a relative steal.
Ask anyone to name Paris’ most recognizable icon and you’ll be hard pressed to find an answer other than the Eiffel Tower. Our final choice won’t let you forget that: It has an unbelievable terrace view of the tower from just across the Seine. Inside, you’ll find spacious accommodations for up to 12 guests spread throughout a well-designed interior — too bad you’ll be too busy staring at the view to notice. Book your two-night minimum stay from $596 per night.
