Airbnb has increased the number of SkyMiles you can receive when booking an Airbnb through the Delta – Airbnb portal.

SkyMiles members can now earn 2x miles per every dollar spent on Airbnb rentals, an increase from the usual 1x earn rate. And if you’re new to home-sharing website, you can earn 5x miles on your first stay, plus $25 off.

The promotion is valid on bookings made through February 28 for stays completed by February 28, 2019. You’ll need to book through the portal to earn the bonus miles.

This is a great opportunity to “double dip” as you can earn miles through the portal and then bonus miles if you use a card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve, which receive 2x and 3x bonus points respectively on all travel purchases.

If you’ve never used Airbnb before and rather have more cash than SkyMiles, you can also sign up through TPG to get $40 off your first booking. Make sure to check out some of the best Airbnbs in the hottest cities around the world.
