Airbus, the company that’s sold more than 18,000 jets, is having trouble selling its latest product — the A330-800.
Delta was the first airline to introduce Basic Economy in 2012, and since then, other airlines have been following suit. Air Canada is the most recent airline to introduce the new class of service.

A United flight that departed from Houston (IAH) headed for Minneapolis (MSP) had a bit of a rough go shortly after taking off. Read about all the craziness passengers experienced as soon as their plane took off.
One of the country’s busiest airports, LAX, will be getting a new Automated People Mover (AMP) system and is expected to be fully operational by 2023. Check out the renderings of the airport’s People Mover here.
American Express is targeting some of its cardholders for an upgraded offer. Many TPG readers who were targeted are reporting that they have the Hilton Honors portfolio of cards. Regardless of which card, everyone targeted is racking up the additional bonus points from Amex.
TPG confirmed this week that Qantas is moving from Terminal 7 to Terminal 8 at JFK. And the move might be sooner than you’d expect.
Amex Platinum No Longer Earns 5x on United MileagePlus X
American Express announced a change to its policy involving a loophole where Amex users could book through United MileagePlus X and receive 5x points — now, with the change, points are just the standard 1 point per dollar.

Marriott Improves Its Best Rate Guarantee Option
With these new changes, you now have the option of receiving 5,000 points or 25% off. The change hasn’t been listed on Marriott’s best rate guarantee page yet, but it is listed on the claim form.
