Here’s your feel-good story of the day — because let’s be real, you know you need one.

Grace Li is a “writer sometimes” (same) who “likes genetics, mythology and Asian-American representation in the arts.”

She’s also, according to BuzzFeed, a high school biology teacher living in New York who had a pretty bad headache this past Friday. She texted her mom, who lives in Texas, saying she wasn’t feeling well (story of my life, hi mom!). Her mom, Shixia Huang, also got the feeling that Grace was missing home.

As moms do, Shixia checked online for flights and found they were “shockingly cheap,” and booked herself on the next flight out; she landed in New York later that night. Now let’s just hope she got 5x points on airfare.

Moral of the story: If you see a cheap flight, jump on it — and call your mom and tell her you love her.
