Setting sail on 2 May, passengers lucky enough to be aboard this one-way journey on Virgin’s Valiant Lady to Catalonia will also visit Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Gibraltar, La Coruna and Lisbon along the way.

All meals (minus alcohol) are included on Virgin Voyages’ newest ship, and with a raft of incredible culinary experiences curated by Michelin-starred chefs onboard, don’t expect the same tired old buffets you get on other cruises.

You’ll also be staying in the Sea Terrace cabin, which is a real perk in itself given its spacious interior, balcony and incredible views as the ship comes into shore.

We value Virgin Points at 1.2p each so by our valuations 80,000 points would be the equivalent of £960. We found prices for the same voyage without points on Virgin Voyages’ website starting from £3,498 for two passengers in the same Sea Terrace cabin.

To take advantage while you still can, visit the Virgin Red app or website and redeem your Virgin Points in return for the voyage. The company will then send you details on how to complete your booking in an email afterward.

As we say, time is of the essence because these tickets won’t last long with only a limited number of cabins left. Other reasons to clamber onboard include first-class entertainment and state of the art health and wellness facilities. It’s also adults only, so you don’t have to worry about any mutinous children running amok either.

Speaking of the deal, Richard Moore, Partnerships Director at Virgin Red said: “This exclusive offer is another reason why it’s so special to be a member of Virgin Red – giving people access to exclusive promotions that you cannot get anywhere else. Valiant Lady is Virgin Voyages’ newest ship and it will no doubt be an extraordinary experience that you won’t forget with a family member or friend.

The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, also known as Barcelona Cathedral in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

“It’s free to join Virgin Red and there are hundreds of rewards to choose from – from the smaller things that make the everyday better like a coffee, to bigger experiences like a getaway with Virgin Voyages, holiday to the Caribbean or seeing your favourite artist perform from the Virgin Red Room at AO Arena – the possibilities are endless!”

Don’t forget, if you’re travelling to Portsmouth using Virgin Trains Virgin Red members can also earn points on their way to boarding the ship as well. A win-win.

A few caveats: passengers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to sail with Virgin Voyages and bring proof of vaccination in order to travel. All sailors must be over 18 years of age.
