The best way to find the right fares and dates is by using Google Flights and entering Dublin and Panama as your origin and destination cities, respectively. You can then scroll through the calendar to find the cheapest fares. Once you’ve got the dates for you, click through to United’s website to book.

It should come as no surprise that flying from other EU countries to holidays destinations can be much cheaper than flying directly from London. You’ll have to pay the cost of positioning yourself to that city, but if the fare is cheap enough, you could come away with a great deal.

Right now, we’re seeing one of those fares.

United and its Star Alliance partner Copa are offering return fares from Dublin (DUB) to Panama City, Panama (PTY) from as little as £185. In both directions, you’ll be required to make one stop or more — and some of the layover times are quite long. Be sure to take note of the layovers and if it’s worth it for you.

To book, head to Google Flights and enter Dublin (DUB) as your departure city and Panama City (PTY) as your destination. Then, scroll through the calendar function to find dates that work best for you — the cheapest fares are in January and February 2020. Finally, click through to book directly with United.

Airline: United/Copa
Routes: DUB to PTY
Cost: £185+ in economy
Travel Dates: October 2019-February 2020
