Chicago is a city that should be high on your list when considering a trip to America. I have been a couple of times and loved each visit. Now is a great time to plan a trip, as some Oneworld member airlines are currently offering ridiculous return fares from cities across Europe with American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair and Iberia. None of the fares are departing London, but you can easily find a cheap flight to either Brussels, Vienna, Madrid, Manchester, Helsinki or Zurich, which would still make booking these fares worth while.

The fares are very low, and do not include baggage or seat selection. But for long weekends, you likely won’t need a big suitcase anyway.
