Flight deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Expedia. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of or Expedia’s friendly cancellation policy if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

Abu Dhabi is a great alternative to Dubai if you’re looking for some year-round sunshine. Etihad is one of the United Arab Emirates’ flag carriers and is widely regarded as being a five-star airline. It has dropped return flight prices from London and Manchester to as low as £300 in September and October — perfect if you want to cling on to the summer a bit longer.

To book, head to Google Flights and enter London or Manchester as your departure city and Abu Dhabi (AUH) as your destination. Then, scroll through the calendar in order to find dates that work best for you. Once you’ve chosen your dates, click through to book through the airline’s webpage as it is almost always best to book direct with the airline rather than a third party.
