Christmas is one of the most expensive times to travel, so finding deals can become especially important. We’re seeing discounted flights from London (LHR) to both Melbourne (MEL) and Sydney (SYD), available on certain dates through November and December. The airline is China Southern, which is one of the most-reputable Chinese airlines and operates the Boeing 787 Dreamliner for added comfort on such a long journey.

With these deals, layovers can sometimes be lengthy. Not this time. Most options mean you’ll be in Guangzhou (CAN) no longer than around three hours.

The best way to find fares and dates that work for you is by using Google Flights. It has a very easy-to-use calendar function to help you find the deal. It’s available with departure dates starting early November and finishing early December, so the best thing would be to just look through until you find a date and a price that works best for you.

Note one of the options includes and additional small stop in Paris (CDG) on the return, but for the price, it’s still worth it.
