For the next two weeks, people flying to Dubai with Emirates are being offered 25% off the base ticket price when booking for two or more passengers.

According to Emirate’s website the offer is valid for both economy and business classes, including Saver, Flex and Flex+ fare bands, plus Special for business class.

However, it is worth noting that when TPG UK tried to book flights to check the discount we were unable to make the discount work when choosing the Saver fare band and were presented with the same cost per person that we would have seen flying solo. We tried this on multiple dates and received the same prices each time. We have reached out to Emirates for further clarification here.

Booking in other fare bands however did show a discounted cost per person compared to flying solo in both Economy and Business.

The offer, when it works, is valid for 2 adults travelling together – or a larger group (up to 9 people) – all on the same booking reference. Adults are classed as over 12s by Emirates, and the offer doesn’t apply to children flying with you. The offer applies to return flights from any destination to Dubai.

The 25% discount applies to the base ticket price, not including any taxes or surcharges. Specifically, the offer is valid on an Emirates return flights to Dubai (DBX) airport, which is paid in full, and bought via their website, a travel agent or through their call centre (0344 800 2777).

Fare breakdown following 25% discount including taxes and fees for two people flying Business Class Saver with Emirates on a return ticket to Dubai from London Heathrow in March.

If flying with two people the cost per person when flying Business Class was £1,638 compared to £2,038 on the same flight solo, with a return booking (14-20 March) from London Heathrow (LHR). This would equate to a saving of £400 per person.

As previously noted, while the discount is also supposed to apply to Economy tickets (including Saver, Flex and Flex+ fare bands according to the deal terms and conditions) the Emirates website displayed the same price for both solo travellers and a couple when we tried to book through the Economy Saver fare. We’d advise that you double-check the cost of both single tickets and group bookings of two or more to ensure you are indeed getting a reduced price.

However, the fares were discounted when booking for two people compared to a single passenger in Economy when we used the Economy / Flex option.

In this instance, if flying with two people on an Economy / Flex fare it would cost £675.25 per person, compared to £802.25 on the same flight as a single passenger, with a return flight to Dubai (11-17 April) from London Heathrow. This would equate to a saving of £127 per person if you book as a couple.

You must book by 6 February for travel until 30 April 2022 in order to receive the discount. If you visit before 31 March you will also be able to make use of a free pass to the Dubai Expo 2020, which is included in the cost of your flight.
