Another transatlantic battle for passengers, as both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are offering return fares to Boston (BOS) from £267. Whether you’re team Executive Club or team Flying Club, there are options for both carriers.

Both of the airlines have day flights back across the Atlantic, which is a great way to reduce the effects of the jet-lag.

These fares are both BA and Virgin’s lowest, which means that checking in a bag and selecting your seat will cost you extra (unless you have elite status, of course). We have several tips for packing that might be useful if you’re planning on going to Boston for a long weekend with only hand luggage.

To book, head to Google Flights and set the departure airport as Heathrow (LHR) and the arrival airport as Boston (BOS). Next, select either British Airways or Virgin Atlantic as your preferred airline and scroll through the calendar to find the cheapest dates to fly, which are highlighted in green. Once you’ve got the flights you want, book directly through the British Airways or the Virgin Atlantic website to make sure you are ATOL protected, and to make sure you don’t miss out on your Avios or Flying Club miles.
