American Airlines has launched a fare sale, offering discounted flights from London (LHR) to New York (JFK), Miami (MIA) and Los Angeles (LAX). With it, you can fly return from £279. Whether you want sunny beaches, palm trees or a concrete jungle, this could be a sale worth taking advantage of.

The lowest fares are with AA and its Oneworld partner British Airways. These are available for departures on Mondays to Thursdays, from October 2019 through the European winter until March 2020.

To book these fares, go to Google Flights and enter London as your origin and either JFK, MIA or LAX as your destination. Then, scroll through to find dates that work for you. Finally, click through to book directly with the airline.

Note: Fares do not include checked baggage but do include hand luggage of up to 10kg.
