California’s wall-to-wall sunshine is temping at the best of times, but now even more so as you can fly return to Los Angeles with British Airways for as little as £278 return.

These fares are British Airways’ lowest, which mean that checking a bag and selecting your seat will cost you extra. We have several tips for packing that might be useful if you’re planning on going to Los Angeles for a long weekend with only hand luggage.

The fares are available on a few select dates from January to March. To book, head to Google Flights and select British Airways as the airline of choice. Next, set the departure airport as London (LHR) and the arrival destination as Los Angeles (LAX). Then, all you need to do is scroll through the calendar until you find a suitable set of dates for you, or the cheapest, which will be highlighted in green. Finally, head to the British Airways website to complete your booking.
