Ever dreamed of doing the classic Highway One roadtrip in California? Well, 2020 could be the year to tick it off your travel bucket list as you can fly direct with British Airways in the new year from £288 return.

Remember, checked baggage is not included with British Airways’ Economy Basic fare — the airline’s lowest. Before purchasing the tickets, you are given the option to pay £45 each way for a checked bag, the ability to choose your seats from 24 hours prior to departure and board the aircraft in a higher boarding group.

The fares are available from January to April 2020. To book, head to Google Flights and select British Airways as the airline of choice. Next, set the departure airport as London (LHR) and the arrival destination as the city of your choice — Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO). Then, all you need to do is scroll through the calendar until you find a suitable set of dates with the right price for you. Finally, head to the British Airways website to complete your booking.
