Tough competition by European low-cost carriers to holiday hotspots means that BA has slashed its fares to Málaga (AGP). You can get return flights from Gatwick to the gateway to Spain’s Costa del Sol from as little as £43 from the turn of the year through September.

These fares are British Airways’ lowest, which mean that checking in a bag and selecting your seat will cost you extra. We have several tips for packing that might be useful if you want to try flying with hand luggage only.

To book, head to Google Flights and set the departure airport as London and the arrival airport as Málaga (AGP). Next, set the airline to British Airways and scroll through the calendar to find the cheapest dates to fly, which are highlighted in green. Once you’ve got the flights you want, head to the British Airways website to make sure you earn your Avios and are ATOL-protected.

Airline: British Airways
Routes: LGW to AGP
Cost: £243
Travel Dates: January to September 2020 (excluding school holidays)
