Another crazy last-minute deal as airlines try to fill up their planes. Virgin Atlantic is tempting passengers with last-minute low fares to Miami from as little as £285 return.

The flights are bookable as soon as Tuesday, and there are fares at this price available to book right up to the end of the year. Remember, these are Virgin’s lowest Economy Light fares, which means checked luggage isn’t included. If you really need a bag, you can upgrade to Economy Classic, which gives you free seat selection and a checked bag. The upgrade will now also only cost £50 instead of the usual £70.

To book, head to Google Flights and set the departure city as Heathrow (LHR) and the arrival airport as Miami (MIA). Next, set the airline to Virgin and scroll through the calendar to find the cheapest dates to fly, which are highlighted in green. Once you’ve got the flights you want, head to the Virgin Atlantic website to make sure you earn your Flying Club miles and are ATOL protected.

Airline: Virgin Atlantic
