Editor’s note: The team at The Points Guy loves to travel, but now is not the time for unnecessary trips. Health officials note that the fastest way to return to normalcy is to stop coming in contact with others. That includes ceasing travel. We are publishing travel deals because we should all use this time to think about and plan our next adventures. TPG doesn’t advise booking trips for travel until the late spring or early summer — and even then be mindful of cancellation policies.
Delta and Virgin Atlantic are offering affordable fares between the U.K. and U.S. for travel late in 2020. The cheapest fares we found are for travel in November and December 2020 and January 2021 between London and Boston, New York and Washington, D.C.
Booking through Virgin, for travel up to 30 November 2020, there’s a flexible policy that allows you to rebook the travel through 30 April 2021. On new Delta bookings made through 31 March, a change can be made before your original departure date for new travel through 28 February 2021.
To book these fares, head to Google Flights and enter London as your departure city and New York, Boston or Washington, D.C. as your destination. Set the class of service to business class and then scroll through the calendar function to find dates and prices that work best for you. Finally, click through to book directly with the airline.
