There’s no better time than the present for some cheap getaways on this month’s payday. Sometimes all you need is a cheeky long-weekend break away to reset. We’ve chosen three very different, very unique destinations that are all reachable from London for less than £50 over the last weekend of the month.

Bergen (BGO)

Bergen is nestled in the heart of one of the most stunning land formations on the planet — the Norwegian Fjords. If the breathtaking scenery isn’t enough, the city itself is quite the picture-perfect postcard itself with its cute, coloured wooden houses and outdoor cafés (with year-round heaters), it really does make for a cozy getaway at any time of the year.

Wizz Air only operates four daily flights per week to Bergen (BGO), with the lowest one-way fares starting at £22. The flight times are also very friendly, departing Luton (LTN) mid-morning on the Friday and returning just after midday on the Monday.

Head to the Wizz Air website to snag one of these fares while they last. Here’s an example of what you can book:

London (LTN) to Bergen (BGO) from £46 return:

Béziers (BZR)

One of the lesser-known destinations on the south coast of France, Béziers is one of the most ancient towns in the whole of Europe and is an absolute gem for those who prefer to visit slightly off-the-beaten track destinations. The focal point of the town is its 13th Century Saint-Nazaire Cathedral, which sits atop a rocky hill in the heart of town. If beaches are more your thing, you’re less than a 30-minute drive to the coast.

There are only a few flights a week to Béziers compared to some of Ryanair’s other destinations, which means there isn’t much choice when it comes to flight times. But for £38 return, it’s definitely worth taking a bit of time off work to get the most out of this deal. The flights are return to Luton (LTN), so that would also need to be factored into your travel time.

London (LTN) to Béziers (BZR) from £38 return:

Dublin (DUB)

The route from London’s various airports to Dublin (DUB) is often classed as one of the busiest in the world and has even been coined the busiest in Europe. The route is pretty much dominated by Ireland’s infamous low-fares airline Ryanair. The cheapest fares are from Stansted (STN), Southend (SEN) and Gatwick (LGW) and start as low as £25 return, but the flight times aren’t very sociable.

At £37 return, the below option is still a very good price and the flight times are spot on with no need to take time off on the Friday or Monday.

Remember, Ryanair and Wizz Air’s lowest fares don’t include a checked bag. But, if you’re clever with your packing, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
