In order to win the one million Hilton Honors points, you must enter the contest using social media. Through 16 October, you must follow Hilton Honors on Twitter or Instagram and have a Hilton Honors account. Then, share a photo and description of your favourite memory at a Hilton property and post it on Twitter or Instagram with the tag #HiltonMemoriesGiveaway. One winner will be selected and notified by 17 October.
Based on TPG U.K.’s most recent valuations, the one million bonus Honors points that are available as a prize in this competition are worth about £4,000. While Hilton no longer publishes an award chart, so there’s no set number that a redemption at a certain property will cost you, you can get a general idea of how much a stay will cost you.
While there’s no award chart, one million is a huge sum of points. With it, you can afford a weeklong holiday — and longer, if you’re looking for more than seven days — at some of Hilton’s most luxurious properties.
For example, the Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi Maldives in the bucket-list island destination often has rooms priced at more than £1,500 per night during peak season. However, you can secure award rates for as few as 120,000 Hilton Honors points per night. With the one million points as a possibility, you could afford to spend eight nights at this ultra-luxurious property.
If you’re looking for something a little closer to home, you could consider one of Hilton’s properties in the U.K. The Biltmore Mayfair, a LXR Hotels & Resorts property displays award nights that can be had for 95,000 points per night. The million points as part of this giveaway could get you up to a 10-night stay.
On the lower end of the price spectrum, if you were eyeing a stay at the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Strathclyde, which costs 15,000 points per night, you could get up to 66 nights for free and still have some points left over. Talk about a long staycation.
Keep in mind that even if you don’t win the competition, you can still rack up Hilton Honors points quickly with its latest promotion. Through 31 December, you’ll earn double points as well as double night credits on stays.
