American Express cards offer cardholders special promotions where you can earn bonus points or cash back on your purchases, simply known as Amex Offers. When you register the offer to your card and meet the spending requirement, you’ll be on your way to bonus points or extra cash. With this particular Amex Offer, you will get £25 back from journeys with private chauffeur service Blacklane.

All you need to do is save the offer to your card and spend a minimum of £100 on a journey to get £25 back. For example, a return journey on Blacklane’s new chauffeur intercity transfer service from London to Cambridge costs £100. So with this £25 back offer in the form of a statement credit, you’d end up only paying £75. The offer is available when used before 14 December 2020 and is only available once per card.

According to the terms and conditions, the offer is only valid online at Blacklane, and purchases must be paid for on the same American Express card to which the offer is registered. Once the purchase has been made, the statement credit should appear on your account within five days of qualified spending, but may take up to 90 days from the end of the offer period. Any misuse of the offer, including cancellation or refunds, may result in the credit being reversed.
For those not familiar, Blacklane is a global chauffeur service, with operations in London, New York, Paris and Los Angeles, among others. With it, you can request a private car to transport you. Recently, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Blacklane launched an alternative to train travel. With it, passengers can request a ride to transport them between London and six U.K. cities — all with prices that could compete with the cost of a train ticket. The service could be especially valuable for business travellers, looking to avoid a crowded train.
This offer was available on my Platinum Card from American Express, though it could be available on other American Express credit cards.
