These offers, which are different from airline shopping portals, allow you to save money on purchases with select retailers or to earn bonus points on purchases. Basically, they’re a way to earn something in return for purchases you were already planning on making.

Now, more than ever, it could be a good time to check out the Amex Offers available on your American Express cards to see if there are any particular offers that could help you save some cash or earn you some bonus points to use for your next award redemption.
Here’s some Amex Offers to look out for that may save you money.
At-home reading materials
If you want to subscribe to The Telegraph, use this Amex Offer to get £20 back after you spend £25 or more. You must spend the £25 or more online at Telegraph Subscriptions by 5 April 2020. The £20 statement credit should appear on your billing statement within five days of qualifying spend, but may take up to 90 days from 5 April.
The Hearst Group is offering you the option for several statement credits if you subscribe to select publications. If you save this Amex Offer to your card, you’ll get £10 back every time you spend £30 or more with Hearst. The terms of the offer say “Good Housekeeping subscription and more”, but it’s not clear what other subscriptions might trigger the offer. The offer expires 12 April 2020 and the £10 statement credits could appear on you billing statements within five days of qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from 12 April.
If you save this Financial Times Amex Offer to your card, you can get £25 back after spending £30 or more with the FT. The offer expires 22 March 2020 and the £25 statement credit could appear on your billing statement within five days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from 22 March.
Going out to your local Boots or Ulta isn’t advised in times like these. In order to avoid large groups of people doing the same thing, if you need to stock up on your personal health and beauty essentials, your best bet may be by doing so online.
Tower Health, the online wellness centre that curates “only the highest quality and most effective natural health and pharmacy products”, could be a good option for stocking up on health essentials form home. With this Amex Offer, you can get a 5% statement credit on online transactions. The offer is valid through 7 May 2020, and the 5% back should appear on your billing statement within five days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from 7 May.
Savings with Cult Beauty, the beauty shop that offers everything from shampoo and conditioners to skincare products and more, is on offer. With this Amex Offer, you can get 15% back on your order of £50 or more. The offer is valid through 2 May 2020, and the 15% credit should appear on your billing statement within five days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from 2 May.

Waitrose is offering 5% back every time you spend £20 or more. The Amex Offer is valid for online orders with Waitrose, and it is valid only for the first 25,000 cardmembers who save the offer. Purchases made with the cellar, florist, garden, pet, cookery school, foreign currency and gifts section are excluded. The offer is valid through 25 March 2020, and the 5% credit should appear on your billing statement within five days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from 25 March.
Morrisons is offering 10% back on purchases of £20 or more. The Amex Offer is valid for the first 15,000 cardmembers who save it to their card, and is not valid on department store concessions. The offer is valid through 8 April 2020, and the 10% credit should appear on your billing statement within five days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from 8 April.
Keep your wardrobe up to date without leaving home
While shopping for clothes might not be your highest priority right now, if you do want to keep your wardrobe up to date, use a personalised shopping service like Stich Fix. With the service, you share your price range, size and style, you’ll be sent a selection of clothes that are sent to your home and you only buy the clothes you want to keep.
With this Amex Offer, you’ll get £20 back each time you spend £40 or more with Stitch Fix. The offer expires 30 June 2020 and the £20 statement credit should appear on your billing statement within five days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from 30 June.
With an Amex Offer like this, you’ll also want to consider double-dipping on your mileage earning and saving. Along with getting a statement credit applied back to your account, if you do the shopping through an airline shopping portal like the British Airways eStore or Virgin Atlantic Shops Away, you can earn bonus miles for your purchase as well.
Unfortunately, Stich Fix isn’t a retailer available on the eStore or Shops Away at time of publication. However, it could be added in the coming days and weeks before this Amex Offer is set to expire in June.
If you’re planning to be working remotely for the foreseeable future, the best way to make sure you’re most productive is to have the work environment you need. For some, that means ordering a new table and chair to set the scene for a productive day. If you choose to go that route, make sure you’re saving with the purchase.
With Raft Furniture, you can get £150 back after you spend £750 or more. The offer is valid through 5 April 2020, and the £150 credit should appear on your billing statement within five days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from 5 April.
The new norm isn’t easy for anyone. Knowing that it won’t last forever is part of the best way to look at things.
