Online shopping portals are a great way to earn points and miles without even leaving the house. If you’re not travelling as much as pre-pandemic right now, you can still earn Avios by shopping via the British Airways eStore -— you could be missing out on points for purchases you’re already making.
You may know popular retailers including ASOS, John Lewis and Apple are already part of the British Airways eStore. But did you know that there are more than 1,200 retailers you can earn Avios with simply by going via the eStore?
Here are 10 eStore merchants you might never have thought you can earn Avios with. (Note that earn rates vary often. The earn rate for each of the below retailers was accurate as of time of publication.)
1. Cancer Research UK
You can shop a great range of homeware, wedding gifts, flowers and clothing with 100% of profits going towards beating cancer sooner.
While helping others, you will currently also be rewarded with 5 Avios per £1 spent.
2. Uber Eats
You may have been ordering plenty of food to be delivered during the various lockdowns, but if you haven’t signed up to Uber Eats yet, you can earn 300 Avios for your first order.
Hostels are a great way to save money and meet people, especially in expensive destinations. You can earn a whopping 25 Avios per £1 spent with Hostelworld, which is a booking platform comparing thousands of hostels around the world.
There are more than 13 million verified guest reviews, so you know exactly what you can expect from your hostel stay.
It’s not the Ritz-Carlton, but with so many international travel restrictions right now, you might be looking to holiday closer to home this summer. You can earn 6 Avios per £1 spent on your Pontins holiday — just measure your expectations before you arrive.
5. Gatwick Airport Parking
If you’re looking to avoid crowds and other travellers as much as possible on your return back to the U.K., you might consider driving to the airport so you can drive your own car home.
Gatwick Airport Parking is offering 1 Avios per £1 spent.
6. TK Maxx
TK Maxx is known for its great value clothing, footwear and homeware for the whole family. You can reduce the price even further by earning a generous 3 Avios per £1 at TK Maxx online.
7. Rosetta Stone
Learning languages has been a popular activity during lockdown. It will keep your mind sharp and busy, and you can test out your new language skills as soon as you travel again.
Rosetta Stone is one of the oldest and most popular language-learning programmes in the world. There are 10 Avios per £1 available for anyone purchasing a programme through the eStore.
Hopefully, large scale events will commence as usual from 19 July 2021, as the final stage of lockdown finally arrives. You can expect a flurry of concerts, theatre, festivals and other events as soon as they are allowed.
Enjoy some normality and earn 1 Avios per £1 on your tickets.
I’ve bought plenty of indoor plants from my local B&Q during lockdown to brighten up an otherwise dreary space, especially during winter.
You can order online for Click+Collect or it will even deliver free for orders over £50 if you don’t have a store nearby or don’t fancy lugging home large items on public transport. You will also earn 2 Avios per £1 spent.
10. Linkedin Learning
While you may use Linkedin to find employment and connect with people within your industry, did you know there are more than 16,000 online courses available with Linkedin Learning? These include:
- Workplace advocacy
- How to market on social media
- Conflict resolution
- How to work from home
- Presentation skills
You can earn a huge 35 Avios per £1 spent at Linkedin Learning via the British Airways eStore. Check your employer’s training policy — you may have training opportunities like this available that you weren’t even aware of.
There are so many retailers on the British Airways eStore that before you purchase anything, whether you are at home or out and about, it makes sense to check if the retailer is on the eStore.
It’s an easy way to earn lots of Avios for purchases you are already making. Don’t forget to pay with a points-earning credit card, too!
