British Airways has launched a new offer to its Executive Club members, allowing them to use their Avios for almost any British Airways-operated flight, rather than being limited to normal reward availability.

There is a big catch, though. In order to be eligible for this offer, you must book and fly four return trips in British Airways Club World (business class) or first class before 12 February 2020, and existing bookings not yet flown do not qualify. Flights to Amman (AMM), Beirut (BEY), Moscow (DME) and Tel Aviv (TLV) are excluded from the offer. Note that short-haul business class sold as Club Europe is also excluded.

If you can fulfill the business and first-class flying requirement, you must first register for the offer by 12 February 2020 and then credit the four return flights to Executive Club by entering your loyalty number either during the booking process or at check-in.

Once you have flown the required legs, you will be provided with one ‘Exclusive Reward Flight Access’ redemption for up to five passengers (on the same booking, one-way or return) to redeem between 28 February and 30 April 2020, for travel until 31 October 2020.

To use the special redemption, you will still be charged the same number of Avios and fees and taxes as you would for a normal redemption. However, the availability will not be limited to normal reward seats and you can use the voucher for almost any BA-operated flight booked more than 30 days in advance. Both peak and off-peak dates are covered, though British Airways will reduce the number of available seats on these specific dates:

  • Outbound: 27-29 March, 3-5 April, 22-23 May, 17-19 July, 23-25 July
  • Inbound: 17-19 April, 30-31 May, 28-31 August
