Biman Bangladesh relaunching Manchester service in January 2020

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to relaunch its direct service from Manchester to Bangladesh in January 2020.
The service is set to resume on 4 January 2020, as reported by RoutesOnline. The thrice weekly service will operate on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from Manchester. Biman will fly the service on a triangle routing: Dhaka to Manchester to Sylhet to Dhaka. The flight will operate on the following schedule:
- BG007 Dhaka (DAC) 12:30 p.m. Departure ⇒ Manchester (MAN) 6:00 p.m. Arrival
- BG208 Manchester (MAN) 8:00 p.m. Departure ⇒ Sylhet (ZYL) 12:00 p.m. (+1) Arrival
- BG402 Sylhet (ZYL) 7:30 p.m. Departure ⇒ Dhaka (DAC) 8:15 p.m. Arrival
Biman is set to operate the route using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in a two-class configuration. In business class, you can expect 24 seats a 2-2-2 layout. Because of the configuration, the seats, which are Stelia Aerospace’s Equinox 3D seat, do not feature direct aisle access for all passengers.
Behind the business-class cabin are two large economy cabins. The cabins are configured in a standard 3-3-3 arrangement.
The the national flag carrier of Bangladesh previously served Manchester until October 2012. Though the airline is not in any alliance, it serves 23 destinations with a fleet of 16 aircraft. The Manchester service is in addition to direct services from London, which the airline serves four times a week using a Boeing 777.
