Savvy travellers know planning ahead can often save you stress and a good bit of money. For people who like to book their trips months in advance and are eager to travel in style, British Airways has launched a robust sale on business-class flights and holidays that could help you pick your winter and spring getaways to the U.S., Asia or other parts of Europe.

BA has cut the prices on a slew of routes and packages between 1 January and 30 April of 2022. Some of the discounted destinations include New York City, Las Vegas, Orlando and Dubai, as well as European locales such as Berlin, Budapest, Malaga and Dubrovnik.

Some of the flights are available for half the current ticket prices. And some destinations, such as San Francisco, are discounted almost 70% from the latest fares. If you want to bundle the flight with accommodations, there are holidays being offered that have tremendous value as well, especially considering the four- and five-star hotels included. The sale runs through 19 August and includes deals such as the ones we’ve highlighted below.

And if you’re worried about booking travel this far ahead during these uncertain times, keep in mind that both British Airways and British Airways Holidays have flexible booking policies in place that will let you change your plans without penalty or cancel your trip in exchange for a voucher.

Keep in mind that booking a long-haul business-class ticket during this sale also grants you access to BA’s departure lounges.

Holiday packages

Often, the cost of a flight and hotel package is close in price to what the flight would cost on its own. And the sale prices currently offered are also covered by British Airways Holidays’ flexible booking policy, which remains in place until 31 August 2022. In addition, the hotels that are part of the packages include such properties as the InterContinental Times Square in New York City; the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas; and the Hotel Duo in Prague.

Book per-person return flights in Club World (business class) along with three- to seven-night hotel accommodations for two people in the following cities:

  • New York City-JFK plus four nights from £1,399
  • Orlando (MCO) plus seven nights from £1,529
  • Las Vegas (LAS) plus four nights from £1,629
  • Los Angeles (LAX) plus five nights from £1,659
  • Dubai (DXB) plus three nights from £1,509
  • Hong Kong (HKG) plus four nights from £1,759
  • Singapore (SIN) plus seven nights from £1,959
  • Cape Town (CPT) plus seven nights from £2,299

If you’re looking to find a bargain for a shorter trip on the continent, BA has a number of holidays to beach locales and exciting cities. Each holiday includes a return flight in Club Europe (business class) and the accompanying perks, along with a three- or seven-night hotel stay for two to the following cities:

  • Berlin (SXF) plus three nights from £289
  • Budapest (BUD) plus three nights from £289
  • Prague (PRG) plus three nights from £289
  • Venice (VCE) plus three nights from £289
  • Malaga (AGP) plus seven nights from £409
  • Mallorca (PMI) plus seven nights from £409
  • Dubrovnik (DBV) plus seven nights from £409
  • Algarve (FAO) plus seven nights from £409

Bottom line

You have until 19 August to lock in these sale prices, and you can also pay for part of these offers with Avios, but that isn’t typically a great value. You could also reserve your holiday with a £60 per person deposit if you don’t want your cash tied up this long.

And remember, British Airways and British Airways Holidays have flexible booking policies in place that will let you change your plans without penalty or cancel your trip in exchange for a voucher (just remember to give three week’s notice).

Because the voucher may be your only option if you’re unable to travel to a certain destination, such as the U.S., you might want to focus on green and amber list destinations that are already welcoming Brits.
