Irish flag carrier Aer Lingus has announced that it will award double Avios on flights between London Gatwick (LGW) and Dublin (DUB) through 31 July 2019 in its Aer Club loyalty programme. Note that this promotion is limited to flights booked and flown during this period, so unfortunately, if you already have flights booked for this period they’re not eligible.

Similarly, if you booked a flight during the promotional period but did not fly it until October this year, it’s also ineligible and would only accrue Avios at the standard rates. You are not required to register to take advantage of this promotion — just book and fly between the dates. Only flights from London Gatwick are eligible, and British Airways-operated flights are also ineligible.

Aer Lingus operates three daily flights between Gatwick and Dublin with numerous connections on to North America. Aer Club uses the same points currency as both British Airways and Iberia (Avios), but you can fairly easily transfer them between accounts by following our guide here. This promotion only applies to flights credited to Aer Club, and not other Avios currency programmes. 1 Aer Club Avios is worth 1 BA or Iberia Avios, which TPG UK currently values at 1.1p each.
