As some parts of the world start to make some progress in flattening the curve of the coronavirus, EasyJet tempts would-be travellers to start booking flights again by lowering all hold baggage to £0.99p per checked item.

The terms and conditions stipulate that the £0.99 offer is applicable on all flight bookings departing after 1 June 2020, making it ideal for those wanting to have an end-of-summer break or for those planning a ski trip for the 2020/2021 winter season. The offer ends on Thursday at midnight.

Hold luggage with EasyJet usually ranges between £10 and £38 when purchased online. However, if you wait until you get to the airport to check a bag, it can cost as much as £50. So, this is potentially a big savings — especially if you plan to check more than one bag.

The offer even applies to sports and ski equipment, which cost anywhere from £37 to £45 in normal circumstances.

It’s worth noting that any baggage must be added to the flight at the time of booking. Any attempt to add additional hold luggage or sporting equipment at a later date will be charged at the usual rates.

Because the deal is valid for travel after 1 June, it could be a way to book travel now while you’re in lockdown for something to look forward to for once this is all over.

To take advantage of this offer, head to the EasyJet website now to book.
