You now have yet another way to earn British Airways Avios — this time, through fuel purchases.

BPme Rewards members can earn 25 Avios for every 40 BP points converted. And for a limited time only, until 27 September 2021, there’s an extra 50 Avios available for your first conversion.

Just link your British Airways Executive Club and BPme Rewards accounts together to convert your points.

The earning rates for BPme Rewards are as follows:

  • Earn 1 point per regular litre of fuel purchased
  • Earn 1 point per Ultimate litre of fuel purchased
  • Earn 1 point per £1 spent in BP shops (on items like snacks, drinks and car care)

Previously, fuel customers could earn Sainsbury’s Nectar points via the BPme Rewards programme. Had this earning option remained, these Nectar points could be converted to Avios using the new Nectar to Avios conversion option. Unfortunately, the BP and Nectar partnership ended in 2019.

You can also convert 200 BPme Rewards to £1 of cash to pay for fuel or in-store purchases, though we think converting to Avios will be a better value and help you maximise your travel as you would receive 125 Avios for a 200 BPme Rewards conversion.

If you have not yet joined BPme Rewards there is a 500-point welcome bonus for joining.
