Every first of the month, Air France and KLM’s loyalty programme Flying Blue launches Promo Rewards, which offer substantially discounted rewards.

In June, you can book rewards valid for travel in August and September. These reduced tickets apply to return but also one-way travel, no matter the direction. That makes them extra valuable for one-way travel or complex itineraries.

Let’s take a look at some of the best deals.

US and Canada in Business From 79,500 Miles Return

With this month’s Promo Rewards, business class tickets to Chicago (ORD), Edmonton (YEG), Montreal (YUL) and Calgary (YYC) drop as low as 79,500 miles return with this promotion. That is a relative steal. Though keep in mind that the high fuel surcharges stay the same.

For example, a return flight from London (LHR) to Chicago (ORD) is pricing out at 79,500 Flying Blue miles + £584.

For the long-haul segments, you will fly KLM’s A330, 777, or 747 (seat 1A, anyone?) all fitted with the latest generation World Business Class seats.

US in Economy From 21,500 Miles Return

In economy, there are wonderful deals to Atlanta (ATL) and Houston (IAH), deducting no more than 21,500 miles from your account for a return flight.

For example, a return flight from London (LHR) to Atlanta (ATL) will cost you 21,500 Flying Blue miles + £270 in economy.

Given the relatively high taxes and surcharges on these rewards, it might be a good idea to compare the total cost to a revenue ticket before you book. Air France and KLM operate 777, 787 and A380 aircraft on these routes.

Amman, Jordan in Business From 45,000 Miles Return

Looking to visit one of the new seven wonders of the world in comfort? You are in luck. Tickets to Amman are available for only 45,000 miles return, offering a 50% discount on regular redemption values and getting you to Petra in style.

For example, you can fly from London to Amman via Paris for 45,000 miles + £551 return.

Do keep in mind that Air France operates this route with short-haul A320 aircraft fitted with European-style business class, so there are no lie-flat seats.

Once again, these rewards are only bookable in June for travel between 1 August 2019 and 30 September 2019. Not all available reward seats are eligible for a Promo Rewards booking, so act sooner rather than later before they’re all taken.

In case you are low on Flying Blue miles, remember you can top up your account by transferring from American Express Membership Rewards at a 1:1 rate. You can also convert Marriott Bonvoy points at a 3:1 rate, plus get a 5,000-mile bonus for every 60,000 points you transfer.
