Flying Blue is doing its part to try to earn the business of U.K.-based flyers. The loyalty programme of Air France and KLM is targeting select U.K. members with the opportunity to earn triple miles on some flights.

As reported by Traveling for Miles, the promotion allows targeted members to earn triple miles on select routes to Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East and South America. For targeted members, the offer is valid for bookings made between 15 and 22 January 2020. Eligible travel must be completed between 15 January and 30 September 2020.

The triple miles will be awarded for Air France- or KLM-marketed and KLM-operated flights, and do not include flights between the U.K. and Amsterdam. More specifically, flights must be between Amsterdam (AMS) and Abu Dhabi (AUH), Accra (ACC), Aruba (AUA), Beijing (PEK), Cape Town (CPT), Curacao (CUR), Fortaleza (FOR), Hangzhou (HGH), Havana (HAV), Johannesburg (JNB), Kuwait (KWI), Osaka (KIX), Panama City (PCY), Quito (UIO), Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Saint Martin (SXM) and Sao Paulo (GRU).

According to the terms and conditions of the promotion, the offer is only valid for one return flight or two one-way flights per member during the promotion period. In other words, the earning potential is fairly limited. That said, the opportunity to earn triple miles on flights isn’t something to pass up if you were targeted and were planning on flying with the carrier regardless. Plus, it’s valid for travel in all cabin classes.

Just one member of the TPG U.K. team was targeted for the offer. If you were, you should have received an email from Flying Blue alerting you to the promotion — it’s worth checking your spam folder. There’s no need to register.

The Flying Blue programme is a solid option for U.K.-based flyers. With its extensive route network, load of partners and sometimes-lucrative Promo Rewards, if you travel frequently with Air France or KLM, it could be a good option.
