Wyndham Rewards just launched an excellent new promotion, allowing members to get a free night at any Wyndham property worldwide for completing two stays now through the end of August and paying with Masterpass.

Here are the details of the promotion:

  • Only open to current Wyndham Rewards members
  • Must pay through Masterpass
  • Book and stay between July 16 and August 31, 2018
  • Earn 7,500 points per stay, up to 15,000 points total

The terms and conditions include the expected language about how “one stay includes all consecutive nights at the same Participating Property, regardless of check-ins or check-outs.” So, you won’t be able to get both stays by booking back-to-back nights as separate stays. There’s a concerning part in the T&C that might mean you want to complete your stays sooner rather than later:

“There are a limited number of bonus points available for this promotional offer — we may change or cancel this promotion at any time.”

Why This is an Excellent Deal

Back in 2015, Wyndham switched from a category redemption system to a flat redemption where all hotels cost exactly 15,000 points. That’s an awful rate if you’re looking to get a free night at Wyndham’s lower-end properties — of which there are many. But, for those that are looking for higher-end properties, it’s incredible.

There isn’t a minimum amount that you have to spend on the two stays, which means you can snag two incredibly cheap stays and redeem them for some awesome hotels.

You can stay in the heart of New York City, Chicago, Hawaii resorts and even all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean for just 15,000 per night. I personally used the 45,000 Wyndham points that I got through the Wyndham Rewards Visa for a three-night stay at Wyndham Royal Garden at Waikiki in Hawaii this past February — easily saving $200 per night for an equivalent hotel.
