The holiday season has arrived at Starbucks — the music, Christmas Blend coffee, red aprons, peppermint everything and those (controversial) red cups. This year, there are many different colors and patterns of Starbucks holiday cups, not just red. You’ll find single-use cups with stars (as in Star-bucks), espresso houndstooth patterns, coffee cherries and a design of contrasting reds. But, if you like Starbucks, what you really want is today’s free, limited-edition reusable red cup.

Not only is the free (with purchase) Starbucks reusable cup pretty cool, it can actually save you money. Customers who bring their reusable holiday cup back to a participating Starbucks store in the US or Canada after 2pm from Nov. 3 – Jan. 7 will get 50 cents off their 16-ounce holiday beverages for the rest of the season.

To score a red reusable Starbucks cup, head to a Starbucks pronto as they are only available today (Nov. 2) and only while supplies last. It may not hurt to call your local Starbucks store before making the trip to confirm availibilty if the reusable cup is the primary reason for the journey.

The eligible holiday beverages that qualify you for a “free” reusable red cup are: Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte, all available as hot, iced or Frappuccino blended beverages.

When it comes time to pay for your holiday beverage, use the most rewarding card in your wallet for dining purchases, such as the American Express® Gold Card, which awards 4 points per dollar at US restaurants.

Or, in the Starbucks app, you can easily use Chase Pay either to earn 5 points per dollar this quarter on your Chase Freedom or to potentially unlock 1,500 bonus points via a new Chase promo. Speaking of Chase Pay, Starbucks is also offering up to 475 bonus Starbucks Stars when you reload your Starbucks account with $20 or more using Chase Pay through Dec. 12.
