Before the U.K. descended into its winter lockdown, TPG U.K. was invited to experience an incredibly special spot in London: The Manor House Wing at Rosewood London. It’s one of the biggest hotel suites in the Capital, situated inside a wonderfully luxurious property (that TPG recently deemed fit for royalty) and the stats are mindblowing.

The Manor House Wing, when expanded to full size includes the Manor House Suite, a foyer, lounge, library/study, dining room, kitchen, powder room and six further bedrooms spanning almost 6,500 square feet. The wing has its own private entrance, postcode, butler and private lift. One night costs a cool £20,000. Luckily, we didn’t have to pay £20,000 per night to stay in the Manor House Suite, as Rosewood London invited us to stay.

The suite is so big that during one evening of my stay, a musician and barman were present in the lounge to serve up cocktails to be enjoyed along with live music. But don’t take it from me — Drake is known to stay at Rosewood London (in fact, a portrait of him hangs in the library of the Manor Suite) and in the song “Life is Good” he raps “Manor house in Rosewood, this s**t too plush.

Whilst I was lucky enough to experience the Manor House Wing in all its glory, in true TPG style, we decided a comparison was needed. A four-minute walk away — literally just around the corner — Jean trialled one of the smallest hotel rooms in London at the Z Hotel. His room measured approximately 86 square feet, almost 70 times smaller than my suite at Rosewood London. The cost helped to compensate for the size. Rooms at the Z Hotel start at £50 per night.
