The annual AvGeek event known as MegaDo is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. And to celebrate, the Star Alliance-themed events will be taking place between 12 October and 16 October and look to be another blockbuster AvGeek dream week.
After the 2017 Star Alliance Mega Do and the 2018 SkyTeam MegaDo, this year’s focus is again on Star Alliance with events taking place in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dubrovnik and Zagreb.

Whilst exact details are still to be confirmed, the first three days will focus on Lufthansa, Sixt, Marriott and Star Alliance in general. On Tuesday, 15 October, a special charter flight will take attendees from Frankfurt to Hamburg Finkenwerder Airport (XFW), Airbus’ private airport. After a tour of Airbus Hamburg, the charter plane will take attendees to Dubrovnik for an afternoon beach party before flying the MegaDo party to Zagreb, where the final day will be spent with Croatia Airlines.
Tickets are now available and range from $999 for economy to $1,199 for comfort class and $1,799 for business class. Check out the MegaDo website for details. Tickets do not include flights to and from the event, and nor do they include hotels, though there are specially negotiated rates.
Just like last year, one lucky TPG UK reader will soon have the chance to win a free ticket to attend this year’s MegaDo and join one of our team on what promises to be an AvgGeek dream trip. Stay tuned for details on how to enter the competition.
