I don’t know about you guys, but my vacations are more or less based on where I’m going to eat. If I’m going to Italy, you better believe I’m having pasta and pizza for every single meal, and in Spain I will be sipping sangria all day.
So if you’re anything like me, you’ll be happy to know that TripAdvisor just released its list of the “10 best foodie vacations in the US.”
Start planning your trips to 10 cities, STAT. Just don’t forget your stretchy pants.
may be am totally biased, but New Orleans truly is food heaven on earth. TripAdvisor recommends a Food Walking Tour of the French Quarter, and while you definitely can’t go wrong with that, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not going to other staples such as Domilise’s, Clancy’s, Commander’s Palace and Jacques-Imo’s. Our mouths are drooling just thinking about it all.
No matter which city you’re headed to, be sure to use a credit card that racks up points for all your dining purchases. The American Express® Gold Card earns 4x, while the Chase Sapphire Reserve card comes in a close second with 3x — it’s almost like you’re getting paid to eat while on vacation. Is there anything better than that? We don’t think so.
