TUI adds exotic new long haul routes from Birmingham, Manchester and Gatwick

Starting in 2020, TUI will be introducing Cuba and The Gambia to its array of holiday destinations. It is not yet known which aircraft will operate the new routes, once flown by the now defunct Thomas Cook. Flights are available for purchase today for departures starting in November next year.

The new route from Manchester (MAN) to Varadero (VRA) will be the only link from the U.K. to the Cuban paradise. Flights will be weekly on Sundays starting on 1 November. Prices are currently showing at around £729 return. Meals and hand luggage are included in the price. Adding a 20kg checked bag costs £70 for the return trip.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Manchester (MAN) 10:00 a.m. Departure ⇒ Varadero (VRA) 2:40 p.m. Arrival
  • Varadero (VRA) 4:55 p.m. Departure ⇒ Manchester (MAN) 6:50 p.m. Arrival (+1)

The second new destination is the beautiful African country of The Gambia. Flights to the capital, Banjul, will operate from Birmingham (BHX), Gatwick (LGW) and Manchester (MAN). From Birmingham, there will be a weekly operation on Thursdays starting on 5 November.

  • Birmingham (BHX) 9:00 a.m. Departure ⇒ Banjul (BJL) 3:30 p.m. Arrival
  • Banjul (BJL) 4:30 p.m. Departure ⇒ Birmingham (BHX) 10:50 p.m. Arrival

The lowest fares are currently selling for £515 return.

The first date of the route from Gatwick is 3 November 2020 and will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays with the following schedule:

  • Gatwick (LGW) 9:00 a.m. Departure ⇒ Banjul (BJL) 3:20 p.m. Arrival
  • Banjul (BJL) 4:20 p.m. Departure ⇒ Gatwick (LGW) 10:45 p.m. Arrival

Prices start at £535 return and are available to book now!

Finally, from Manchester, flights will operate once per week on Sundays starting on 1 November for as low as £539 return.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Manchester (MAN) 9:00 a.m. Departure ⇒ Banjul (BJL) 3:30 p.m. Arrival
  • Banjul (BJL) 4:30 p.m. Departure ⇒ Manchester (MAN) 10:50 p.m. Arrival
