Uber is targeting select riders to save some cash on their next trip from four London airports. TPG Content Producer Dan Ross got the notification when he opened up the Uber app after taking a ride to the airport.
With the promo, targeted Uber riders can get £10 off their next trip from London Gatwick (LGW), London Heathrow (LHR), London Luton (LTN) or London Stansted (STN). The notification reads:
“Daniel, thank you for riding with Uber to the airport. As a welcome home gift, here’s a discount for your return.”
According to the notification, the promotion is valid for 28 days from accepting and is valid on one trip from any of the four aforementioned airports. The notification says to enter the promo code AIRLON10 in to the Uber app, though when I tried to enter it in my account, it wouldn’t allow me. This promotion seems targeted and nontransferable.
This is a nice deal from Uber, which is trying to increase ridership from London’s airports to a rider’s final destination. It seems as though you’re more likely to get this offer if you take an Uber to one of the airports on your outbound journey.
